Emmory and Locklin lived in different states and attended different colleges but met one another on a study abroad trip to Italy. For 7 years they kept in contact before they decided to see if the long distance thing could really work. As the phrase goes, "the rest was history!" A big reveal came after Locklin's eventual proposal that Emmory secretly purchased a bottle of wine from their trip to Italy where they first met. She wanted to have a special bottle for her wedding day in the future, with no idea it would be with Locklin. As she told him about the wine he revealed that he did the exact same thing. He purchased a bottle of wine from that same day and same vineyard in Italy to save for his wedding one day! They held their wedding weekend between San Antonio and Spring Branch, TX. Family and friends were welcomed at a gathering in downtown San Antonio. The following day, Emmory spent a fun morning with her family and friends getting ready at the beautiful La Cantera Resort. Locklin got ready with his guys at a nearby AirBNB. Emmory welcomed Locklin, a Georgia native, with a pair of cowboy boots to wear on their wedding day! After an emotional first look with her father everyone loaded up and headed to Lost Mission in Spring Branch, TX for the wedding ceremony and reception. The ceremony was held in a beautifully rustic chapel. Prior to the ceremony Emmory and Locklin read some very special letters to one another before sharing an intimate "blind" first touch. They had a traditional Christian ceremony where at one point during their communion the entire audience sang a deeply touching rendition of How Great Thou Art for them. After the wedding an incredible celebration was held! Immediately following the ceremony, Emmory was surprised with her favorite magician, Ben Jackson, who spent the evening performing fun tricks for everyone. Emmory's father gave a heartfelt toast before starting the reception. Emmory and Locklin had their two very special bottles of wine displayed for all to see. The Little Wedding Band played live music while everyone danced the night away in celebration of Emmory and Locklin.
