"Although it's so cliche, we met on Tinder in February of 2017. Marie actually messaged Emily first (whaaaat?) asking something about Harry Potter. We decided to stay just friends for seven months- and then one day, when Emily wasn't feeling well, Marie took such great care of her and Emily's heart exploded. We went on our first unofficial date in August shortly after that. After a very unclear conversation whether it was a date or not, Emily *tried* to play it cool and waited until September to ask Marie on a real date. Things just blossomed from there. Although we faced an extreme amount of external hardships, we always leaned on each other and we came out stronger each time. Two years to the day of when we matched on Tinder, in February of 2019, Marie proposed using Emily's dream ring and incorporated her two biggest loves, Harry Potter and her dog Brandy. Since then, we've moved in together, adopted the sweetest cat, Ravioli, and survived even more hardships, and of course, a pandemic.
