More than a wedding film, this is a concentrate of joy. It is like a perfume that, as soon as it is released into the air, continues to recall to mind always the same toast, the same expression, the same warmth. You will be contaminated by the plenty of smiles people give each other. I challenge you to watch till the seventh minute without smiling. And besides, the shared joy is always the one that multiplies quickly. Emily and Jordan they were aware of that and that is why, they wanted their union to be more Destination Joy than a Destination Wedding….. And what greater joy of celebrating that with the dearest friends? And that’s how this modern fairy tale begins A morning that goes slowly, but playful among soccer games, a dip in the pool and the frisbee that flies high in the sky. The atmosphere is that of a beach volleyball game in California, even if we are in the greenest Tuscan countryside in Poppi in Borgo Corsignano, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, a real jewel in the beautiful Casentino valleys. A close company of friends which we had already got to know in our Wedding in Normandy of our beloved Cristy and Craig https://www.alessandro-pardi.it/film/kirstycraig-destination-wedding-in-normandy/ An easy and informal atmosphere that acts as a prelude to a simple and refined ceremony, made even more romantic by a fil rouge that binds every detail of this wonderful day. Just think at the smile of Barnes senior, a former player of Liverpool and of the English national team, who proudly thinks that his son Jordan is also a best-player by having chosen such a special bride. Or we linger on the attentive hands of Emily’s mother who visibly moved tries to fix her daughter’s dress. However, one of the more intense scenes is the one of the entrance of the bride: “Take a seat, not a side” reads the sign at the right of Emily as she enters ethereal, arm in arm with her father … And at that moment is Jordan to waver in front of such emotion. We listen the ceremony abducted and we linger on the promises of this couple that incredulous discovers itself officially united in a “forever”. The strength of these spouses is also made of lightness, a lightness that recalls even the beautiful setting of The Tuscan Wedding. We immediately understand it from the gestures of this newly-wed couple but in particular from the beginning of the reception: Mr. and Mrs. Barnes enter laughing and dancing together, without never obscuring each other, to present themselves in this new dress to their friends. A succession of love but a cheerful one…and this also thanks to the enthralling personality of Howard Wing, entertainer, and showman, who until the evening has marked the funniest moments of this ceremony. Then the lights become more and more intermittent until the animation of DJ Andy Murphy leads us back to the wild dances of this wonderful company of friends. It’s nice to imagine to stand on the sidelines … and to toast us as well to”Emily and Jordan”.
