Wedding Date on May 22, 2020

Colton and Ema were high school sweet hearts. They were introduced to each other through mutual friends but nothing came about it at first. After about a year in May of 2013, they found themselves both at Yorktown beach one Friday afternoon. They quickly hit it off and started seeing each other very frequently. This led to the start of their love story. Colton finally proposed to Ema after five years of dating. This proposal took place on September 21, 2018. The proposal was set up to surprise Ema in front of her entire family and friends. One Friday evening, as Ema was coaching her high school cheerleading team, Colton had planned for the cheerleaders to do a secret routine that would help ask her to marry him. The proposal happened in front of hundreds of people right after half time and it took her by complete surprise. As she walked down the tracks towards Colton, the cheerleaders had custom signs Colton had made for them to use during the routine. They performed a cheer where it encouraged Ema to say “Yes”. Once Colton got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, the entire community was able to witness their lives enter a new chapter along with their families and friends.
