From The Bride: We met through our mutual friend, although we’ve crossed paths our entire lives. We went to college, at alternating times and Chris’s grandparents and father grew up two houses down from where I grew up. We were always within arms reach, yet never met one another. My best friend who passed away, was supposed to introduce us, when we were just teenagers. We swear that she was looking over us, when she brought us together again. Chris is a true gentleman and an old soul. He’s been my Prince Charming since the day that I met him. He knelt down to kiss my hand and confessed that he had a crush on me, since I was 17. Chris courted me for months and brought me to so many beautiful places. He was the man that I dreamt of, my entire life and he treated me like a queen. Unfortunately, I fell very ill, soon after our beautiful relationship commenced. I have numerous serious medical conditions, that I’ve suffered with for half of my life and they flared up so drastically; that we spent most of the first few years of our relationship in a hospital. My health delicined to the point of my organs failing and I had to succumb to feeding tubes, as I was unable to eat on my own for so long. Nonetheless, Chris never gave up on me and always believed in me and my strength. It turned out that I had actually been misdiagnosed for years and finally after finding the right medical team, received proper and adequate treatment. A few years passed and Chris encouraged me to continue pursing my dreams, which began with my modeling career and eventually ended in the obtainment of my masters degree in Rehabilitation and Mental health counseling to assist others with medical conditions and varied abilities. I motivated him to follow his dreams. Which were inclusive of baseball, as he was an avid player throughout his entire life and giving back to the community through his teachings and than pursuing finance. We’re both now happily married, we’ve worked increasingly hard within our careers and our new home. I’m now a supervisor and I’ve created a new program for individuals with traumatic brain injuries to return back to work and regain a sense of fufillment and purpose . Chris works six days a week for his three jobs, which encompass his love for baseball and finance to provide us with everything that we need. We’ve adopted an adorable little puppy whose brought so much joy into our lives and we’re now not only newlyweds but a happy family. While we still encounter numerous challenges, along the way. We strive on our love, our teamwork and most importantly our relationship and partnership. In addition, we’re so thankful for our incredibly supportive and loving parents, families & friends. We’ve always been each others biggest cheerleaders and I’d like to think that we’ve displayed, what true love can really overcome. It’s not about pursuing your dreams alone, it’s about finding someone who brings out the best within you, so that you both can achieve them together. In sickness and in health. Forever & Always.
