Wedding Date on Jul 23, 2022

Dayna and Cassidy met while playing Division 1 hockey at the University of Vermont. They knew almost immediately that they were soulmates, and dated for two years while in school — but after graduating, Dayna moved to New York and they decided to part ways. As the saying goes, though, you never really forget your first love. For years, Dayna tried to build a life in New York without Cassidy in it, which felt impossibly difficult. Eventually, Dayna moved back to her hometown in Alaska, and Cassidy moved back to her hometown in Canada. After 4 years of trying to live separate lives, they reconnected and decided to give their relationship another shot. When the pandemic hit, Dayna made the ultimate commitment by deciding to permanently move to Canada to be with Cassidy. Living together during the lockdowns brought them so much closer together (literally and symbolically), and it was then that they knew that this was a forever kind of love. This wedding day was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. Every single minute of the day was filled to the brim with emotion — from poignant first looks, eloquent personal vows (can you spot the Taylor Swift references?!), and sentimental speeches, there was never a dry eye in the room. As a videographer, these are the kind of weddings that we dream of documenting, and we feel so incredibly fortunate to have been the ones chosen to tell their incredible love story.
