David and Christi met on a night out with friends. They both attended the same concert one evening and randomly ran into each other afterward. They hit it off right away and talked the whole night. There were no mutual friends or anything, they were complete strangers who happened to be in the right place at the right time!
The bridge that you see in the film is actually where David proposed to Christi, so it was really special to be able to film there on their wedding day.
heir wedding was at The Club at Chatham Hills located in Westfield, Indiana. The country club surrounded by trees and rolling hills was the perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
David and Christi were very laid back and truly just took in every moment of the day. Though, when it was time to celebrate at their reception they didn’t hold back! Billy at DJ Q It Up did an incredible job keeping the dance floor filled the entire night.
One thing they did that I had never experienced before was a Macedonian bread breaking. Christi wanted to continue a tradition that her family has carried on for generations. This involves the couple breaking a loaf of bread, the winner is the one with the bigger piece and predicts who will be the leader of the house. It was so much fun capturing this tradition for them.
This day was special in so many ways. It’s always encouraging to see a couple who is supported and loved by so many people. Their wedding was filled with so many special memories, and I am honored to have documented them all!
