A Totally Unique Wedding Surprise Dan and Amanda Hanafin decided that they couldn’t afford a videographer for their August 2017 wedding. But as the wedding date got closer, Dan changed his mind. He saw how much Amanda loved watching her friend’s wedding video and made a decision: he wanted to surprise the love of his life with a wedding film. But not just any wedding film. “I wanted a wedding video that looked like a Hollywood film, so I did the research online – and contacted byDesign Films.” With the help of his byDesign Films Project Manager, and their amazing photographer, Jessica Nyiredi (http://www.jessicamaranda.com/), the team was able to not only film a beautiful wedding, but to keep it all a secret from the bride. “From the very beginning, byDesign Films was super accommodating with my kind of crazy request,” said Dan. “Brittany was great at explaining the options and every process along the way. Our photographer Jessica was amazing, and our videographers played the roles of photography students. I still can’t believe how they stayed in character and captured every moment without drawing any attention or giving the surprise away.” After the wedding, the post-production and editing teams got straight to work recreating Dan and Amanda’s day by producing two beautiful films - delivered right before Christmas. “I woke up on Christmas morning, and Dan told me he had something to show me,” said Amanda. “He asked me to sit down and watch a video with him, and he turned on the TV. When I started watching, I just started bawling my eyes out and couldn’t stop – and I never cry. I never had a clue that anything was going on at the wedding – and the video brought back so many emotions. On my wedding day, everything went by in such a blur – and the video captured moments I didn’t even remember.” “Our videos really did look like Hollywood movies,” said Dan. “Every aspect of the experience was top notch.
