One night during the first semester of senior year, thanks to our mutual friends who were already dating, we found ourselves on the dance floor of Cityside in Cleveland Circle. We started doing the fishing reel with an almost practiced precision - no corny dance move was beneath us, even then. But oddly, a really fun night ended with no exchange of numbers and we went our separate ways. That New Year's Eve, we were together dancing again, but somehow didn't pick up on the obvious crush we had on each other. We parted ways as just friends. It wasn't until one fateful date at Chipotle when we got back to school in January that we realized we didn't want to be apart. That Chipotle date kicked off what we consider now to be one of the best times of our lives. There were trips to Boston, study dates, snow days, marathon signs and concerts on campus. But most importantly, there were the little moments we shared. Colleen meeting Tom at the gym so they could walk back to their dorms together. Tom setting a package aside for Colleen in the mail room so he'd have it ready for her when she came. And every long Sunday breakfast they'd share in Lower, getting to know every detail about each other's lives all while sharing a heaping plate of BC's delicious home fries.
