Cody and Katie got engaged when Covid first appeared. They wanted to have their wedding in 2020, but the unknowns of the pandemic prevented them from having their big wedding in 2020. However, they did not want to wait any longer to get married.... so they actually tied the knot at the courthouse in 2020 and decided to have their big wedding day in 2021. So this wedding was unique in that the couple was actually already married!
They made their vows very personal and you can tell that they had already learned a lot about each other in the time they'd been married and living together.... The groom's vows included letting Katie "eat every last piece of bread off the cheesesticks" without complaining. And the bride's vows included acknowledging that "on Sundays, the Dallas Cowboys are Cody's first and true love". Truly these are vows that most married couples that have lived together for a while can relate to!
Marriage is all about loving another person unconditionally.... accepting every quirky trait.... and better yet ... EMBRACING every quirky trait that your spouse has... knowing that those traits are all uniquely part of the person you love and have committed your life to.
If you could rewrite your vows to your spouse after having been married a while, what would they include?
