Ciatu and Kevin met through mutual friends in Charlotte, NC, and bonded over their love for music and shows. This wedding celebration was full of things that were intrinsically special to this couple: Liberian wedding traditions and culture, Ciatu singing one of her original pieces to Kevin during their ceremony, one of Ciatu's vocal students performing a special tribute to her, and the fact that these two will now share an anniversary with Kevin's grandparents, to name a few. They were married at Ciatu's church in Charlotte, and celebrating their reception on the rooftop lounge of Springhill Suites in Uptown Charlotte.
