Christine & Dean, you are utterly two of the coolest people we have ever met. Their two-day wedding celebration at Karoo 1 Hotel in the Klein Karoo was completely, unapologetically them. Wild, unconventional, ridiculously fun and impossible to forget. And we mean that quite literally. This was a destination wedding in South Africa that didn’t follow the usual rules. Everything happened outdoors, the music moved from country to trance, and somewhere along the way the bride herself ended up behind the decks, mixing a set for her own wedding. And then the night ended in the Rave Cave. For this film, we made one very deliberate decision: we didn’t pose them. There was no manufactured couple shoot. No stopping the day to create moments for the camera. We simply followed Christine and Dean and let the celebration happen around them. Because sometimes the best wedding films aren’t about creating beautiful moments. They’re about being there when the beautiful moments happen. The result is a candid, documentary-style wedding film that feels exactly like Christine and Dean, unpredictable, energetic, completely untraditional and very, very them. We adore you two.
