Wedding Date on Apr 18, 2020

Chandler and Shawna met in college at Grand Valley State University and we a part of the same Christian Organization, Campus Ministry. They had served together on leadership, led mission trips, and were a part of the same friend group for years. After a few years they finally admitted that they liked each other and started dating. Chandler was a big adventurer and Shawna fell in love with that side of him and together they began their own big adventure! As sickness, National State of Emergency, and statewide lockdowns loomed, this couple watched their plans change numerous times before their eyes. Their ideal, perfect, 'bigg' wedding became out of the realm of possibility as plan A changed again and again, finally landing on this perfect intimate wedding at the Groom's families lake house. In the face of adversity nothing could stop Shawna and Chandler's love. With their closest family and friends around them they committed their lives to each other. This day covered in prayer, full of heartfelt letters, personal vows, tears on the part of everyone, and time truly spent together, in no way felt like a consolation prize. On the contrary it felt like a precious gift. Even if this was not their initial plan, their love for each other and the Lord shone brightly through the day itself, and much more through their grace and poise in the challenging process to get there. This day was so incredibly special and we were honored to be there to capture this for our friends!
