Wedding Date on Sep 5, 2020

Caroline & Calvin met in Japan when they were stationed there serving in the military. They went through a long distance relationship and grew even closer through that. They planned their wedding for 2020 feeling hopeful like any couple would, but sadly Calvin's mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. So they moved the wedding from Wisconsin down to Texas all for her to witness them wed. 2 weeks before the wedding his mother had passed away. The toasts shared the evening of their wedding were from the closest people in their life and their words were full of strength, sharing about their perseverance, fearlessness, resilience and how in the last 5 years if they can go through a long distance military relationship, countless deployments, wedding reschedules, recent unimaginable loss and getting married in the middle of a pandemic then this kind of love will last a lifetime. The tears flowed throughout the evening some where tears of healing and most were tears of joy. This wedding was definitely unique but it was so inspiringly rich with a humanistic love that is so valuable.
