Wedding Date on Oct 20, 2019

Callie and Ryan are both from Kentucky where they grew up enjoying horses, basketball, and bourbon! Eventually, their lives would lead them both to Baton Rouge where they met for the first time. Callie immediately that there was something special about Ryan, but she was living in Louisville, KY at the time going to medical school so it did not seem feasible to pursue a relationship. But they stayed in touch and occasionally visited bonding over being fanatical fans of arch rival basketball teams (Louisville & Kentucky), music, fans well as a love for trying new beers. Callie eventually decided to move down to New Orleans where Ryan was living at the time for a medical residency program at Tulane University. Her and Ryan quickly hit it off. Moving forward in time, they decided to have their wedding in New Orleans. as the city and people have taught them how they want to live the rest of their lives together. While New Orleans is now the place that they call home, the wedding was quite a destination for all of their guest traveling down from Kentucky. They wanted to give their guest an authentic taste of what New Orleans has to offer so they decided to secure their wedding venue in the New Orleans French Quarter at the historic Beauregard-Keyes House. The Beauregaurd-Keyes House made for the perfect wedding venue as it is located right inside the French Quarter and has a charming courtyard and house where they hosted both the Ceremony and Reception! We enjoyed getting to know both Callie and Ryan before the wedding and couldn't help but cry as we watched their beautiful story unfold on the big day. Of of the most memorable parts of the day was when Callie's grandmother read a special poem during the Ceremony as a way of giving her mark of blessing to Callie & Ryan's union. The poem was one that Callie's grandmother had found and collected over the years and incorporated into her and her husband's 25 year anniversary scrapbook (the author is unknown). After the ceremony, Callie & Ryan had an incredibly romantic first dance to "Mutineer" under the glow of some gorgeous string light decorations in the courtyard behind the Beauregard Keys House. After the first dances, Callie's Father, as well as the Best Man and Maid of Honor gave some beautiful heartwarming toast to Callie and Ryan. Callie & Ryans special night would end with a celebratory exit down the streets of New Orleans in a Second Line dance led by a Brass Band. After the wedding day, we knew we wanted to incorporate her father's heartwarming story about Callie and the pack of kittens growing up and so we asked her if they still had any home video footage of those memories that we could incorporate into their wedding film. Sure enough they did and sent us over a DVD full of footage of Callie growing up. Not only did this add x1000 to the cuteness factor but really go us tearing up as it reminded us so much of what makes childhood so special. We are so thankful for the opportunity to have captured Callie & Ryan's beautiful relationship and look forward to seeing as they grow and start a family together. So Cheers to many happy years to come!!
