Jason and Callie met during their senior year of college at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Jason’s fraternity was hosting a “Champagne and Shackles” themed “date function” on a balmy January night and he found himself needing a date. He reached out to a friend in Callie’s sorority who offered to help set him up for the night. As she had a test the next day, Callie was initially not interested in going. However, her friends persuaded her, saying "Who knows? You could find your future Jewish husband?" After relenting to the pressure from her friends, Callie found herself being handcuffed to Jason just a few hours later. While they quickly shed the handcuffs, the two of them had an instant connection finding they had many things in common and could not believe that their paths had not yet crossed. They spent the rest of their senior year smitten with each other while preparing for the uncertainty of their future ahead. After graduation, Jason followed Callie to law school - turning down a scholarship at NYU and instead going to a small private school in Cambridge so he could stay near his boo who attended Suffolk in Boston. Neither had planned to go to the same city as one another – it was just fate. Jason and Callie spent three intense years in the tundra, studying, quizzing each other, and eating their way through all of the cannolis and Italian food the North End of Boston had to offer. After not being able to wear a Yankees hat without fearing death or serious bodily harm, they moved from Boston to New York City to pursue their legal careers and moved in together to their apartment in the Midtown neighborhood of Turtle Bay. Nestled next to the hidden gem of New York City, Greenacre Park, the couple enjoyed growing their first home together. When Callie was sworn into the Florida Bar Association on April 28, 2017, Jason asked her family for their blessing. After waiting a painstakingly long few months, Jason popped the question in front of both their families in Greenacre Park on August 11, 2017 and Callie said "Yes!!!" before he could even finish the question! Jason and Callie have now been together for almost 5 years and couldn’t be happier to begin their lives together as husband and wife. They are both extremely excited to spend their special day with their family, friends and loved ones.
