From the bride: We have been friends since high school. One weekend after we graduated college, we both went to NYC. Mutual friends organized a big brunch and we just so happened to sit across from each other and spent hours there hanging out and catching up. We had one of the funniest days exploring the city with our friends who lived there. Going to places like the Frying Pan and The Gansevort. After that weekend, we went on our first date in Philly at R2L and the rest is history! We have been living in the Art Museum neighborhood for 4 years together with our furbaby lab, Bear. We spend most of our time taking him to the dog park, getting together with friends, cooking fun recipes, watching our weekly shows, and trying out the best new restaurants in the city (avid foodies). Colby surprised me for a pre-valentines day weekend to NYC this past February and he booked a room in the Gansevort -- we hadn't been back since that first weekend awhile back. Colby planned an entire day and wanted to surprise me with the fun places for a good drink, coffee, and restaurants. After our 3rd place, we were walking through Washington Square Park and he got on one knee as soon as got to the arch. I was SO shocked and hysterical (I'll share the pictures with you -- not cute haha). His cousin who is a photographer was there and captured the entire thing. We had the most amazing day and night celebrating and him catching me up on all of the secrets he had up his sleeve for months/weeks prior! Couldn't have asked for a better weekend!!
