The beautiful story of how Brooke & Adam fell into each other’s lives still fascinates me, and it was touched on by mostly everyone who spoke on the day. With story being at the core of all of my films, this was an ideal scenario which I wanted to take full advantage of. It was clear to see the shared values of family, and the welcoming from one another’s. Aligning this footage with the Bedeken ceremony felt perfect, transitioning between both parents speeches while watching this exciting, intimate tradition unfold. A humorous snippet from Brooke’s Dad to open the film; the love/hate relationship with Dan Andrews, and the first of many loopholes around the Covid restrictions. Brooke’s Mum also played a key part in eventually bringing these two together, and her speech during the Chuppah was intentionally overlayed during these special moments as Brooke walked down the aisle towards Adam - reenacting that first ‘meeting’ and impression they had of one another all those years ago. Adam’s speech was always going to be the climax of the film; the pinnacle, the final chapter which clarified all of the stories from earlier on. A perfect way to end the film - and a perfect opportunity to revisit some of the most important moments from the day. An incredible story which I was lucky enough to tell through my work. Thanks lovelies! 🤍
