This modern love story began with an Instagram DM — Scott, who had big dreams of someday playing in the NHL, had recently received shoulder surgery when he stumbled across a photo of Brittany on his Explore page. What started as a simple "Hey!" quickly turned into weeks of back-and-forth texting and endless FaceTime calls. Eventually, Scott decided to fly to Canada to take Brittany out on what would be their very first date. The date went so well that their waiter, Yuri, thought that the pair was celebrating an anniversary given how comfortable with each other. Long story short, Scott returned home knowing that someday, he would marry Brittany. Shortly thereafter, Scott made his debut in the NHL. The pair would spend the next 5 years travelling all across the US for hockey, which only solidified Scott's belief that Brittany was the one he wanted by his side through all of life's best and worst moments.
