From The Bride: Mike and Britt met in college at Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES!) where they were neighbors in good ol' Rutherford. Friendship turned into love at some point along the way and the rest is history. Just kidding. A lot happened over the next eight years. Britt moved to New York, Mike moved to Florida. Many hours were spent on flights back and forth. Then Britt took the plunge and moved to Florida. In 2015, Mike proposed and the long-distance wedding planning began. Mike is from Baltimore and Britt from Richmond, so they decided on a Virginia wedding instead of a Florida one. Luckily, Virginia wine country is gorgeous, so choosing a venue was quick and easy—they fell in love with Early Mountain Vineyards and booked that day (it was the only venue they saw). The property was stunning inside and out, and the room where the reception would be held gave off major Game of Thrones vibes with stone floors and medieval chandeliers, which Britt and Mike loved. Britt wanted the wedding to be romantic, candlelit and intimate while also embodying who her and Mike are as a couple.
