Wedding Date on Jul 4, 2018

When Brittany and Justin first got in touch with us, they didn't know where or when they wanted to get married. So they sent us a list of priorities: 1. Getting married. 2. Being outside, surrounded by beauty. We both love mountains, and each took separate life paths to leave our homes and go towards mountains. That landed us each of here, separately, in Colorado! Part of our strongest connection is our love for the mountains that drove us both to leave close-knit families in our Midwestern States, and move to a place where we each knew nobody. It makes it all the better to become each other's new family, and share that sense of adventure and stubborn inner compass. 3. High quality photographs and videography of our elopement day. We value work that is stunning, but still full of genuine integrity. We want the day to feel simple and special, and value the budget spent to capture our feelings in a way that translates visually. We both figure that this is a genuine investment into a "centering stone" for our relationship for the rest of our lives. Have a rough day? Watch our wedding video. Hug it out. It's safe to say that we knew immediately that we would get along with Brittany and Justin. After browsing our list of elopement locations on our website, they fell in love with the Faroe Islands, which are a small archipelago of islands tucked between Iceland and Norway in the Atlantic. It's known for its stunning landscapes, sheep, and their turf houses. The four of us booked the same flights out of Denver and set off on their elopement adventure together. When we got to Reykjavik, Iceland, we realized that our bags didn't arrive with us. Luckily, we carried on our camera equipment and Brittany and Justin carried on their wedding clothes. So during our 10-hour layover, we rushed around Reykjavik buying some new clothes to wear, two new tripods, and makeup for Brittany, and then hurried to the regional airport to catch our flight to Vagar Airport in the Faroe Islands. It was stressful, and we were all upset. But it really put things into perspective for us and made us look back on their original set of priorities. Brittany and Justin added two Full Day Adventure Sessions to their package, so they had planned specific outfits for these days. And sure, it would have been nice to have all of our clothes for the entire trip. But we quickly realized that none of those little details mattered. We had all of the things that mattered the most. And no matter what, Brittany and Justin would get married in the Faroese mountains overlooking a hidden lake, and all of the stress of travel would melt away. On the morning of their elopement, we met Brittany and Justin in Torshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands. We set off to a small village where they rented the cutest turf house cabin to stay in. Justin got ready in the second floor of the cabin while Brittany got ready downstairs. Justin wore an incredible green tweed suit, which was a perfect choice for the cold and windy weather. Brittany wore a stunning lace Rue De Siene dress. They had their first look outside of the cabin before we all piled in the car to drive to their ceremony. Everywhere in the Faroe Islands is gorgeous, so we were spoiled for ceremony location choices. Brittany envisioned mountains and Justin envisioned water. So we found a hike that led us to both. We all bundled up and started our hike, unsure of where exactly it would lead us. But once we saw the lake, we all knew that it was "the spot." They exchanged their vows as a storm blew in. The thick clouds hung over the tops of the mountains and the wind howled fiercely. After their first kiss, they clutched onto each other to keep warm. We returned to their turf house and they prepared a delicious picnic in the grass by the bay. They shared their first slow dance in the grass before ending the evening with a two-person dance party in the fog.
