From The Bride: Brantley and I first met in Pre-K at First United Methodist Church. We actually got married in the sandbox (as mentioned in the video) by my cousin! We were as crazy about each other as two little kids could be. We went to separate elementary schools, but I ended up moving back to Sylacauga in middle school where Brantley and I rekindled our flame. Being in middle school, our "romance" was short lived, but we were always drawn to one another. We never dated in high school, but somehow managed to meet back up in college. It was freshman year, during Thanksgiving break, that Brantley and I hung out together with mutual friends. We picked right back up where we had left off, and everything felt right. We talked to one another every day, and he asked me to be his girlfriend January 4, 2012. The majority of our relationship was long distance, me being in Troy and him in Montgomery for college. We would see each other on weekends and holidays and would do whatever it took to make it work. Once we graduated, we moved back home to start our new jobs. I took a job at a hospital (I'm a nurse) and he is an elementary school teacher, so we were finally able to see each other daily. We both graduated in December 2015, so my dad had an idea to have a "graduation get-together" in June to celebrate our accomplishments. Little did I know, this get-together would change my life. With all of our family there, my dad got us up to the front to say a few words (I didn't think anything of it because my dad always has something to say), but I was shocked when Brantley said that he had something he would like to say. Brantley doesn't get up and speak in front of people hardly EVER, so I was taken aback, but I didn't think too much of it. He starts talking, and I'm literally twirling my hair around my fingers, and all of a sudden he grabs me and turns me to him. He said a lot of things that were kind of a blur, and then he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I was in so much shock that I honestly couldn't believe it! It was, up until now, the happiest day of my life. June 18, 2016, we were engaged!!! Fast forward one year, and on June 10, 2017 we took the biggest step in our love story so far. We went back to the place where it all started, First Methodist, and we vowed to love each other through anything and everything this crazy life gives us. It was the most perfect wedding I could have ever imagined, and I wish I could relive that day over, and over, and over. It was a long road to get where we are today, but by God's grace, we made it.
