Brienne & Jason made the adventurous trek to Alaska so they could elope. On their wedding day, they embraced everything Whittier had to offer, even down to a (barely) alive salmon pulled from a nearby stream. With a colorful history and certain quirks that still characterize daily life, Whittier is the kind of place you just don’t forget. From its one-way-at-a-time tunnel to its just over 200 residents, it’s a quiet little town with charming mystique. At the time, Brienne described it as her soon to be hubby’s, “kind of place, with [his] kind of people.” As we came through the tunnel on their wedding day, we were greeted by the all too familiar haze that one would expect. The rain fell softly on the sea and the clouds cloaked the mountains in the most magical way.
