On February 6, 2016, on a miraculously beautiful day, I married my best friend & high school sweetheart on the warm sand of Spooner’s Cove in Montana de Oro State Park. Brad & I met when I was 16 & he was 17, first exchanging words sitting on the cold benches of our football stadium during a playoff game. I swooned, as any junior girl would after actually TALKING to a senior boy who was not only attractive, but kind & thoughtful as well. After weeks of texting incessantly, meeting every day after school & going on a few totally high school dates, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Brad has been my person ever since! We dated long distance for four out of the five years before getting married, because we went to different California state universities. This was insanely challenging, but so worth it. We planned the wedding while three hours away from each other, all while finishing our undergrad degrees. It was crazy and testing but also wonderful and exhilarating. All of the madness was worth it--our wedding day was intimate, romantic, and filled with joy. I wouldn't change a thing.
