“Jon and I first started dating in February 2011. It wasn’t till May 2011 that I took him to meet my parents at their farm house upstate. I wanted to wait until the weather got nicer. I gave him the ’50 cent tour’ of the barn filled with the horses, my father’s vegetable garden and to the chicken coop. All I wanted was for Jon to hold a chicken so I ran around the coop for a few minutes till I caught Rusty for him. Looking back, Jon says that was the moment where he fell in love with me. Up until that point, he thought I was a typical New York City girl whose idea of a nature walk was a stroll through Central Park. When we were upstate, he realized I had much more to offer than my knowledge of the subway system. We had always dreamed of getting married there but with the location being a logistical nightmare, we figured it’d be a great idea for us to do our engagement shoot instead."
