Wedding Date on Oct 16, 2021

It was free taco night at N19 (backstage of Disneyland). Aya and Mino happened to be in line next to each other. It started with a simple conversation of "what do you do besides Disney?" M: "I work as a translator at a game company" A: "Oh, my dad works for a game company" M: "My dad does too..." A: "My dad used to work for Square Enix" M: "My dad too..." Little did they know that their dads had been coworkers for over 20 years, their moms were close friends, and they had a collection of each others' Christmas cards back home. Their worlds collided and that's where it all began. March 16, 2020. The night before COVID lockdown. Due to the pandemic, Mino's original plan to propose in Japan, as well as his backup plan to propose during a potential trip to Hawaii, got canceled. Mino was running out of time and options... until he heard that one of her best friends from Hawaii was going to be in LA. Knowing that Aya wished for either her parents or her hometown best friends (the Fab 5) to be present for the proposal, Mino saw this as his last chance to fulfill both of her wishes. Within the span of a week, Mino managed to gather Aya's parents, the Fab 5, and many of their local friends to a beautiful venue in Downtown Fullerton, where he got down on one knee and made her *literally* jump for joy!
