From The Bride: 10 years of marital bliss, career advancements, and a beautiful daughter, McKenzie, Ashley and Marcus are now having the wedding of their dreams! After college, Ashley earned an internship with a well-established event planner, Andria Lewis Events. She was actually their day-of coordinator! Therefore, when it was time to plan the #washingTEN vow renewal, she knew which vendors she wanted to work with. Ashley was the planner, on the phone, scheduling consultations, adding meeting requests to Marcus’ calendar, etc. However, during the day of their event, the vendors and the day of coordinator handled everything, ensuring that the couple can relax and be the perfect bride/groom for their perfect day! For the venue, Ashley always knew that Annesdale Mansion was the location for their event. She, and Marcus, has always loved class, elegance, and sense of tradition. With its grand parlor, spiral staircase and marble entryway, as well as seven and a half acres of elegant lawns and gardens, Ashley just knew that the mansion would be an unforgettable setting for their vow renewal. Ashley and Marcus also knew to work with Studio 1524 for floral and designs. Olivia Bursey Ward, the owner, is known for putting together a great selection of luxury rentals that's beyond the ordinary. Olivia's ultimate goal is to provide an unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests, and she did just that. The day started with the entire wedding party ready for prep. After hours of prepping, with Tia Jennings, local makeup artist, Ashley and Marcus had their first look. It was so amazing; at that moment, it felt like this was their year one ceremony. They've been seeing each other for more than 10 years; however, in his tuxedo, in her wedding gown, it felt complete. The couple then had a fantastic shoot with the wedding party, thanks to Camille Leigh Photography, all prior to the event starting. As guest were arriving, greeted by valet, they enjoyed the nontraditional flow of cocktail hour being first. The couple wanted to make sure that all loved ones were present for the most important piece, the ceremony. After the garden ceremony, everyone went inside for dinner. It was then followed by their afterparty, with Demarkis Edwards "DJ Swagg" under the stars, with an array of dessert food trucks (MemPops serving the best popsicles and Delish Desserts serving fried oreos, fried snickers, funnel cakes and candy apples). The Mayweather/McGregor fight was also featured. The event was also captured by the awesome Allen Gillespie, cinematographer.
