Wedding Date on Apr 28, 2018

Anthony and Vanessa go back to '07, the year they both started college at Towson University in Maryland. Anthony was focusing on his Mass Communications major, and Vanessa was invested in her acting program, taking most classes in the Center for the Arts. As the universe would have it, Anthony's freshman year roommate, David, and Vanessa hit it off in their English 102 class. [Side note: A lot of people like to take credit for our relationship but if we owe it to anyone, it's David Richards, the first person to introduce us.] Anthony was thinking of becoming an acting major, so Vanessa was a great connect. Vanessa likes to think he had other motives to ask for the intro, though ;). Anthony eventually made the move to acting. He and Vanessa had the opportunity to share the stage in August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. It was then the foundation of their friendship was set, and a friendship it remained for the rest of college. People might say they were always meant to be, but they chose to wait for the right time. The couple celebrated their last anniversary as an unmarried couple on 9/10/2017. Six years after opening night of their second show together, Dreamgirls. Picking a dating anniversary is hard, but Dreamgirls' opening night seemed like the right time to cement it. However, Vanessa had a feeling Anthony was the man she would marry when he selflessly coached her through the breakup that paved the way for this couple to be together, which included bringing her cupcakes from his many trips to NYC to see shows and leaving parties to hang out when she would not leave her house. Proof of the giving man he is and how far he goes for those he loves and believes in. Anthony proposed to Vanessa on her 27th birthday — her golden year! — on November 27, 2016. Spoiler alert: She said yes! They've since adopted a puppy named Porgy (after the opera Porgy and Bess) and their goal is to live happily ever after.
