Wedding Date on Mar 17, 2021

When I first received Anna & Martin’s enquiry I was at full capacity for the year and had actually stopped taking bookings - however as I learnt more about the two of them and their wedding situation, I had no hesitation with booking in their day. ~ Anna and Martin (& Henry) were hopeful of a European wedding, with Anna’s entire family being over in Germany. Sadly, with Covid interrupting, they had to downsize and Anna eventually gave up hope that her Mum or any of her family could make it over. ~ Eventually they found the stunning Lindesay House and chose to have a very intimate, luxurious, ‘European’ wedding with only 30 of their nearest and dearest. Channelling a Tropez garden party, they celebrated in style with an assortment of fine food and symbolic wine, jazz music and endless Aperol Spritz’. ~ I clearly recall this day in 3 key chapters which I felt needed to be each emphasised; ~ 1. The Introduction. A collection of the most luxe, romantic & elegant shots from the day - paired alongside Anna’s Mum’s speech (a surprise which had been arranged by her bridesmaid). ~ 2. The Story of Anna & Martin. The upbeat and frantic part of the day. Getting ready, morning champagne, post-ceremony celebrations and so on. The perfect opportunity for a humorous perspective of how Marty first came about. ~ 3. Marty’s killer Speech. The romantic and final chapter of the film. As the pace of the day completely slowed down, time seemed to stop still while Marty expressed his love for Anna. A first dance which continues to give me goosebumps whenever I watch it back, let alone while filming it - in addition to one of the most genuine, touching and special moments I’ve ever caught on film; Henry’s uncontrollable smile. This chapter could easily sum up the entire day. ~ I genuinely felt such an honour being able to document such a momentous day in Anna & Martin’s life, especially considering the situation with Anna’s family abroad. Being able to capture and share these special memories with all of Anna & Martin’s friends and family makes me feel so happy inside. I’m so thankful to have received that initial email from Anna, and I’m sure this film will be cherished forever 😍
