Wedding Date on Aug 21, 2020

Anders reached out to us with one heck of a surprise proposal for Caitlin. I actually had a couple classes in college with Anders and consider him a dear friend, so I knew anything he had in mind, we would 100% be there to help pull it off. WELL! He literally planned the perfect proposal. AND even adjusted when hiccups came up. First - he planned to have a late lunch in the city with his parents. There, Anders "went to the bathroom" where we were waiting to sneak a microphone into his jacket pocket and start rolling. (Gotta capture all the audio!) Then they would "casually" walk around downtown, towards one of their favorite spots near Grant Park. That's where we were waiting to capture the precious moment. EXCEPT! The park was closed because of COVID! So Peter (another member of our team) and I were texting him as fast as we could, knowing they were heading our way to let him know that we had to adjust... and do it FAST! Anders, as cool as a cucumber, slyly responded and said that we can just move it all to the beach right next to the park. And it was one incredible, impromptu Plan B. There, Anders dropped down on one knee and said some of the sweetest words about their story. She of course said yes! And we were snapping and filming away. :) As we were taking photos and videos of these two, Anders family arrived to celebrate. Thennnnn... another surprise arrived. Anders had coordinated to have Caitlin's family fly in from Texas to join in all the festivities. CUE. THE. TEARS!! Caitlin's tears emerged once more as she embraced her parents and siblings. We laughed and cried with them as they gathered together to celebrate these sweet moments. Then we said "goodbye". *wink wink* STILL not over yet! Anders planned ANOTHER surprise. Waiting at an incredibly decorated, beautifully furnished and adorable Air BnB, were their nearest and dearest friends. I mean... come on... can you have a better day?! Caitlin walked in and we captured another incredible shocked reaction from her as her friends all exclaimed, "Congratulations!!!" The night was filled with more laughter and story-telling and hugs and yummy food from Chipotle :) It was such an incredible day to witness, capture and enjoy. Anders truly planned the BEST proposal and we still are swooning over all of these moments!
