Our Love Story On the 6th of January 2013, we laid eyes on each other for the first time at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Andre told his friend that night that we will be together one day. I remember looking at his tall frame and bushy hair, meeting the gaze of his kind eyes and thinking – uh oh, I’m in trouble! A whole year passed, and nothing happened between us…. UNTIL the night of my Matric Farwell (Senior Prom). Andre invited me to dance with him, and as I thanked him for the dance and walked away, he pulled me back and kissed me in the middle of the dance floor. Being a dancer , he knew this move would blow me away, and blow me away it did. That moment changed the course of both our lives. Thank goodness he had the guts to make his move. I felt like the butterflies would burst right out of me. For the past nine years we have travelled together across Asia, getting to know the world and ourselves as we grew together as a couple and as individuals. We became inseparable – best friends, partners in crime and lovers. On the 10th of October 2020 – he made me the luckiest girl alive, by asking my hand in marriage, surrounded by our family and friends. We spent two years planning our intimate yet most special day. On the 11th of November 2022, we finally became one, in every way possible. We treasure each other in ways I simply cannot describe – but I know that I am forever grateful to have met my soul mate so young, knowing we get to grow old together and getting to love each other for the rest of our lives.
