"Mike and Allison met seven years ago in December of 2011 when the two joined their college newspaper, The East Carolinian, as a photojournalist and reporter. On her first assignment, Allison nervously walked into the library to meet Mike for a story about a jump roper. That was the beginning of a journey through friendship and dating and engagement, spanning multiple homes and cultures. Working at the newspaper and listening to records, traveling to see friends and new places while grabbing life and holding on tight throughout, their friendship grew into true love. From living in Annapolis and Los Angeles, to working on stories in their communities and others, Mike and Allison have created lasting memories that both have grown from."
