They met on Hinge and decided to go for it - Allie mentions in the film that she had a sense when she first saw Travis that this could be her "last first date." A whirlwind romance ensued. Both Allie and Travis have bold personalities - so much so that Travis event laments in the film that he was concerned he'd never find someone, or that someone would accept him with his big personality. Allie mentioned this when she first inquired - she wanted a videographer to capture their true "personalities" and not just go the cookie-cutter route. Travis lives and breathes music, so the film actually opens with he and his guys singing a barbershop tune. Their wedding had live music at every stage - the ceremony, cocktail, and reception - notwithstanding the random pop-up-instances of barbershop choral numbers that occurred throughout the evening.
