Allie and Ryan met in 2009 while attending the same college and working part-time at a nearby grocery store. Ryan recalls seeing her for the first time at work and thinking she was someone special. Over the next few years, Allie and Ryan’s friendship grew and in 2011 their relationship got serious. Fast forward to 2017, Ryan planned a special hiking trip with Allie, her mom, and their dogs. The group stopped to talk photos, and Allie noticed the dogs’ collars were changed out. They read “mom, say yes so we can keep him” and “mommy will you say yes”. As Allie read their collars, Ryan got down on one knee and she said “yes!” Like so many others, Allie and Ryan’s plans changed due to COVID-19. While they had a whole wedding planned at a local lodge, plans were forced to change. Instead, they had an intimate ceremony off a trail in Killington, Vermont. There was a gorgeous view of Kent Pond and an amazing waterfall for portraits. Following the ceremony, the group headed to Ryan’s childhood home. These two put so much love into every single detail. Allie’s bouquet was created out of book pages. Tables were decorated with mini pinecones, photographs, and dried flowers. They used local businesses for their “guest book” and a family member made custom cornhole boards. Their wedding may have been different than they originally envisioned, but it was truly the perfect day and we were honored to be a part of it. Are you planning an intimate wedding?
