Wedding Date on Aug 11, 2023

Alice & Chris got married in the heart of Dartmoor with its rugged landscapes, moody windy skies, rolling hills and breathtakingly beautiful moors, which all came together to create scenes in their wedding film that are something straight out of a fairy tale. They did the legal bit a few days before so that Chris's dad could conduct their ceremony. I cannot stress how special it is when a family member or close friend is the celebrant. It’s just so personal. Not gonna sugarcoat it though, the weather wasn’t perfect and so the outdoor ceremony they had originally planned wasn’t to be. But did that stop them from enjoying their day? Absolutely not. Rain did not stop play, we still managed to get out to Sharpe Tor to capture them climbing to the top! Their amazing photographer, Amy and I, kicked off our shoes and got in the river to get perfect angles of Alice & Chris on the rocks and the old broken bridge. Always willing to go the extra mile for the perfect shot! Especially when Alice and Chris themselves were so determined to climb on the rocks. Even though rumour has it that Chis usually falls in the river at Badgers Holt! Alice and Chris met at a New Year's Eve party when they were teenagers. They’ve grown together, travelled together, converted a camper together and got a cat together. Now they’re ready for their next adventure. Here’s to Alice & Chris, crowd-surfing into newly married life! They had a sensational wedding that was all kinds of epic, but most importantly was so them. They didn’t want a traditional wedding band that would play all the same old songs, these two emos wanted all the American noughties bangers. They made the right choice with the Red Cups, they smashed it! They had so many personal touches at their wedding; hand-painted signs, bar snacks wall, glitter balls wherever I looked and the most delish New York style cookies by Just Dunne, Plymouth (which I’m now obsessed with and keep ordering for myself!) Big congratulations to these two amazing humans, it was such a pleasure being involved in their magical wedding day. Capturing all of the authentic, natural moments for them and weaving them into a film that tells their unique love story that they can treasure forever.
