Wedding Date on Oct 18, 2019

Anthony and Alexis met sophomore year of high school in their history class. She knew Anthony's older brother, who was a senior, but she didn’t meet him until they had class together. It turns out Anthony saw her at freshman schedule pickup and thought she was cute and his brother told him to try and date her. He was a very shy guy (still is), so of course Alexis made the first move and asked him to sit by her in class, and to take her to homecoming their junior year (the year they started to date) How they got engaged - Their junior year, her great grandmother was diagnosed with two types of cancer. She was getting worse and worse and Anthony knew he wanted her to know that they were going to get married. He ended up proposing a few weeks before he initially wanted to. He proposed at their grad party the day she graduated in front of all their friends and family. Alexis' parents were the only ones who knew besides Anthony's parents. She said it was "super awesome" to see her grandparent's reactions along with everyone else's. The next day they were able to tell her Great-grandma that he proposed (her mom told her) and she said that she nodded and went back to sleep. The next day she ended up passing. It meant a lot to Alexis that she was able to know we were getting married because she really loved Anthony. The most unique part of their wedding was the handmade arch made by Alexis' grandpa and the welcome sign made by her dad! It was the first wedding for Alexis' generation of cousins to get married and she is the first grandchild on both sides. Anthony’s family never had any big weddings so it was different for them. Alexis knew she loved Anthony the moment she saw him and she always made the first moves. Anthony was super shy and she is the one who speaks up - She says "if it wasn’t for my big mouth who knows if he would of ever talked to me 😂"
