Wedding Date on Aug 10, 2019

Kenny and I grew up living only 30 minutes from each other, but we never knew each other until college. We were both in our first year of college, and Kenny was at the local community college and I was at Ohio State. As he learned about me through mutual friends, he decided to shoot his shot and DM me on Twitter. We hit it off pretty quickly, and we enjoyed spending hours talking and getting to know each other. That summer (2015) we went on our first date to the Fort Wayne Zoo on what would what feel like hottest day of the summer. Although we were both shy and awkward, I knew there was something special about him, especially after a Christian song came on his phone when he was playing music. After that first date, he invited me to come to his church that Sunday. This only solidified how I felt about him, and I knew that he was the Christian man I was always looking for. We went on many fun dates that summer, from mini golf to the movies to picnics to skyzone. We spent the next 2 years doing long distance as he was in Cincinnati and I was in Columbus. Then, Kenny transferred to Ohio State and came to join me in the city I love. That only strengthened our relationship and we enjoyed being able to see each other whenever we wanted. Last summer (2018) on a day when the whole family was coming into town, Kenny planned an elaborate surprise in which my brother and sister-in-law took me to a garden where Kenny was standing there waiting for me. He proposed and I of course said yes! We look forward to this journey we are on, and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
