Alex and Meg met April, 2016 during their freshman year of college. The two hit it off at a mutual friend's party and later made it "official" the following November (Alex is Canadian and spent the summer at home getting ready for the next hockey season). Alex, quiet and confident, "put a ring on it" the only way that would take Meg (the social butterfly) by surprise: a home-cooked meal on a random Thursday following Meg's spin class. Serving as both his wingman and hypeman, Cooper, their Bernese Mountain dog, was the happiest boy ever (Alex even recorded the proposal on the doggy cam!). The next night, Alex gathered their closest family and friends at a local bar in Boston to celebrate! Fast forward one year, the two married at The Barn at Flanagan Farm in Maine surrounded by their closest family and friends. They continue to reminisce on the details of that day (from the decor to the laughs, to the happy tears). This was truly the best day of their lives and one they will remember forever. . . When Megan met Alex she had just lost her father to cancer. He helped to fill a piece of her heart that had gone missing. He didn't bat an eye as she talked about her dad for hours on end and this along with so many other things showed her this was the man that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. A few years later Alex's mom is diagnosed with the same caners as Megans mom. They sat in disbelief. Through everything Megan was by Alex's side and she noted that she felt privileged enough to have known such an incredible woman. Their wedding day came and so many moments were held in honor of each others parents. I couldn't have been more honored to capture each of those moments and be apart of such a joyful celebration.
