H igh school sweethearts Alex and Matt met during a school trip to Italy, but their romance did not bud until after they returned home. “Just friends” in the beginning, Alex and Matt took some time to get to know each other better. “His energetic personality gave me the best kind of butterflies,” recalls Alex. Matt’s first impression of Alex is the stuff teenage girl’s dreams are made of. “Her smile made me smile, and I knew she was the one,” he says. While some young romances are short and sweet, their relationship was built to last. Now ten years and counting, they have been together ever since.
