From the bride: "Noah and I have been together since 2013 when I was 15, and he was 16. Noah knew of me before I knew who he was, but he's always told me that he knew I was the one he was going to end up with. After three months of friendship, being my shoulder to cry on over friends or other high school boyfriends (have you ever seen the movie When Harry Met Sally? Sort of like that, haha.), I finally gave in, and never looked back. Noah is my comfort, my home, and my very best friend. I can't even remember what my life was like before he stumbled into it.
After we both graduated high school, I went off to college at Texas A&M, and Noah went off to LA to pursue film production. We then did long distance for three years, often seeing each other every 2-3 months or whenever we could afford the plane ticket. My trips to LA or his trips home to TX were always such a treasure to us and often looked like lots of exploring sunset beach picnics, taking handfuls of photos and videos while we were able to be together, grabbing coffee at our favorite spots, and counting down the days until my college graduation.
I graduated from college in 2019 and moved to LA that summer. Our three years of long distance were FINALLY over! We were able to grow apart, as individuals, AND together as a couple during those three years. I always look back and wonder how we did it and say that I don't think I could do it again. But, the truth is, I know we would both do it again in a heartbeat if it meant we would end up the way we are now.
We used to always daydream about what life would be like once long distance was over. Hopefully, living in a big city, walking distance from the beach, sunset picnics, and wine nights at home, long drives along the coast, an orange cat, you know the drill....
Now, coming up on my third year in LA, we live in an apartment in Santa Monica, one block from the beach. We have an orange cat named Buddy, sunset beach picnics and farmers markets along the coast are a weekly occurrence, and most importantly, we get to come home to each other, throw on our comfy clothes, and truly be at 'home' every single day. When I think of our story, I think of the two high schoolers who met in small-town Texas, who had their first kiss on my parent's front porch swing, and who wouldn't believe where we are now. We are truly blessed and truly living in the days we always dreamed of. "
