Aaron and I met sitting across from each other at work. My boss at the time actually called me into her office to ask why we weren't dating. She said, "You'll eventually see that's painfully obvious you guys should be together." She was right! We both worked as TV news reporters and after 6 months of dating, I took a new job 5 hours away. Aaron didn't hesitate to say we would make it work. After, almost 2 years of long distance, Aaron surprised me on my street corner dressed in a suit with rose petals leading to him and a ring! We now live in Pittsburgh together, but wanted to get married in Miami, Florida where I am from. There's so many little details about planning a wedding that really don't matter in the end. It was such an overwhelming feeling to have everyone we both love and know in the same space! My sister married us and it was incredible. Aaron and I also took dance lessons to surprise our guests. We did a traditional slow-song and then broke out into a salsa! We also had dancing LED robots for our 'Hora Loca' hour. It's a Spanish tradition called the 'crazy hour.' We have both watched our wedding video a hundred times, loving each second of feeling so loved. When my best friend died in his sleep last month, watching the wedding video became even more important. Our videographer, Justin put together some clips of my friend Tony during our reception. I showed Tony's mom and she said it was amazing to see her son dancing and smiling again.
