Wedding Date on Jun 8, 2019

Aakash and I first met a couple days before the start of our freshmen year at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) over a game of catch phrase in the dorms. The story is a bit contentious as Aakash swears that I was checking him out, even though I’m 100% sure he was the one staring at me. We officially got introduced a couple days later by a mutual friend and became best friends. Whether it was studying in the library together, going on late-night campus walks, or eating and drinking our way through Berkeley, life with Aakash became an adventure. On April Fool’s Day, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and we’ve been together ever since! Keeping up with the theme of “always an adventure”, exactly 9 years later on April 1, 2019, we got married at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas with some of our closest friends, and two months later, we had our big fat Indian wedding in the Bay! We filmed for 2 days, however, the wedding day itself included 16 hours of coverage to capture the full hindu ceremony and the reception in the evening.
