Our story all started in a Palm Beach Atlantic University elementary education classroom at 8 AM. Heather came to class early, had her planner, notebooks, and color coded pens laid out. Zach walked in late, dripping wet, wearing a wetsuit. He leaned his surfboard up against the wall and walked to his seat empty handed. It was then that Heather decided to avoid him at all costs, but the Lord had other plans. A year later, Zach had switched majors to Film but we still somehow ended up sitting next to each other at a Friendsgiving, despite Heather’s reservations. The rest is history!

We wanted our wedding to be Christ-centered and a unique experience for our guests. When we stepped onto the property at the Historic Walton House, we knew right away that it was the perfect venue for us. The lush tropical greenery, quaint buildings and exotic animals made us feel like we were on another planet. We meshed our personalities in the details with a cake topper replica of us, Vans for the groomsmen and intimate vows to each other. It was an incredible day and we are so thrilled to have an amazing video (edited by the groom!!) to remember it by.

Our biggest advice to couples planning a wedding is to always remember that you’re on the same team. We were encouraged by the verse that is at the end of our wedding video: “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” – 1 Peter 4:8. Even when family drama, planning stress and budget shortfalls create chaos around you, let it strengthen your love as a couple, rather than tear you apart. Our wedding was awesome, but a lifetime together is so much better.
