Meggie Francisco Destination Weddings

Columbus, OH

Meggie Francisco is a destination a wedding planner and event designer creating special moments with a sense of place. She's based in Columbus, Ohio and serves clients all around the world. Meggie honed her skills in the Dallas, Texas wedding market, where she was educated on some of the very best event industry practices. She has gained unique perspective from working with rock star wedding vendor teams around the world, and brings that comprehensive expertise to her clients. Past and upcoming destination wedding locations include Napa Valley, Cabo San Lucas, Grand Cayman, Italy, Colorado, and many more! In preparing for your special event, you deserve the utmost care and attention. That’s why Meggie Francisco Events accepts a maximum of 10 weddings per year. Because event planners are team leaders, Meggie believes in upholding high standards of accountability for her teams and vendor partners. These are her business ethics: - Honor people, cultures, and traditions. I love planning multicultural wedding ceremonies and I'm always excited to learn new things about how people celebrate love! - Support the entire team. As an event planner, I’ve found the most effective and meaningful practice is to act as a servant leader. This means I ask my teams, "What can I do for you?" To me, it's not enough to treat only the guests of honor with warmth. I show love, care and respect to vendors and family members, too. - Respect the budget. I provide sound event planning education throughout the process, and sometimes this means I educate my clients when a more expensive option will result in better value and event execution. However, I never pressure couples to pay for things they don't need, I negotiate when appropriate, and I always strive to find creative budget solutions. Your event planner should always be on your side like this!- Out of respect to my clients and vendor partners, I never accept behind-the-scenes vendor commissions. Ever. I believe event planners should be fully transparent about the costs of your event.- Be responsible. I carry general and professional liability insurance for my event planning business. - Pay fair wages for good work. I do not use unpaid interns at my events. - Love is love. I support marriage equality and welcome LGBTQ+ couples.
