As an intern on Love Stories TV's editorial team, I watch every single wedding video that's submitted to lovestoriestv.com. (Yes, it's a dream job.) Each week, I'm going to pick my favorite films and feature them here. Think of it as your weekly weddings edit, which you can use to get inspiration for your own wedding. Not getting married anytime soon? This list of real love stories works just as well for your afternoon pick-me-up… and it costs less than your 3 p.m. frappuccino. ;)
1. Bianca + Zena by The Quail & The Dove. Something is in the water over at Joshua Tree National Park. We've seen so many wedding videos come through from this Cali hotspot, and every one of them has been gorgeous. Watching Bianca and Zena exchange vows surrounded by the beautiful desert backdrop was incredibly heartwarming. They really are best friends. Petition to make every elopement a desert elopement, who's with me?!
- Natalie + Mihir by Inzi Wedding Films. Mihir met Natalie after traveling to America from India. This video is so special because it pays tribute to both Indian and American cultures and their respective traditions. In fact, they had two wedding ceremonies: one Catholic, one Hindu, and both equally beautiful!
- David + Shanea by Love In Motion. This video has no speaking parts, but the emotional music totally makes up for it. The bridal party and the groomsmen are so darn fun—fast forward to their dance floor scenes to see what I mean. I'm also obsessed with the greenery behind the altar, which features a decorative sign that reads, \"the best is yet to come.\" Catch a glimpse at 1:49—absolutely stunning.
- Molly + Matt by Vaughter Films. The speeches and vows in this video are beyond captivating. Matt and Molly somehow found the perfect words to express their love for each other during their vow exchange—so many tears are shed between the bride and groom. Their siblings' speeches are also endearing and hilarious. Basically, you should send this video to anyone who needs help writing their own vows or speech. They can thank you later.
5.Ashley + David by Veiled In Motion. Everything about this video is magical. Ashley, a Canadian, and David, who is from New Zealand, decided to elope to Iceland. Watch for stunning shots of the beach, a waterfall that mysteriously appeared the day of their wedding (!) and a natural cave where they exchanged vows.
- Andrew + Megan by Inkspot Crow Films. We have a few videos on the site that have been filmed outside or near the Boston Public Library, but I've never seen one where the reception was legit inside the library. Andrew and Megan made the space look so sick! The filmmaker described their wedding as \"a marriage of Texas elegance and Boston's classic charm.\" Perfection.
- Nicki + Jason by Tonemedia. The video opens up with the groom's vows, detailing the night they met at a mutual friends party, later walking around New York City until sunrise. Adorable, I know. At the wedding, the best man tells a story about how he once asked Jason if Nicki was the one, and he replied, \"If she's not the one, there is no one.\" <3
- Kendall + Stevie by SJ Videography. This is just a solid video all around. First of all, the bride is totally rocking a long-sleeve, backless dress. Then there are the groomsmen, all of whom are wearing matching purple socks with little bulldogs on them. The bulldog socks are a seriously cute homage to the couple's actual bulldog, who attended the wedding in a puppy tux, as one does. A+ inspiration for pet lovers.
- Juan Pablo + Carolyn by Robert Michael Films. After twelve years of marriage, Juan Pablo and Carolyn decided to renew their vows alongside their children in (wait for it) Joshua Tree National Park. They recently moved to California to pursue their acting careers. Juan-Pablo has appeared in a few TV shows you might have heard of…Homeland anyone? 😉The cutest part of this whole story is that Juan-Pablo and Carolyn's adorable kids used to always ask why they weren't in any of their mom and dad's wedding photos. Now, they can consider that problem solved. :)
- Joelle + Omar by Vasilis Kantarakis Films. Is it just me, or do vows sound way better in French? This French couple had a beautiful destination wedding in Greece. Omar and Joelle met on a cigarette break— fast forward a few years later and Omar proposed to Joelle outside her apartment in Paris. If you need me, I'll be watching more Parisian love stories here.
