Wedding Date on May 29, 2015

From The Brides of Oklahoma Magazine: Stephanie and Amrish’s miraculous story began in a prayer group at Oklahoma City University in the fall of 2009. Their acquaintance naturally flourished when Stephanie began working as a worship leader at Amrish’s church. One evening after a service, Stephanie and Amrish began writing a song together, and the sparks began to fly as they created what would be the foundation of their relationship, entitled “A Hope and a Future.” Soon after, the couple’s proposal took place at Stephanie’s parent’s house, where Amrish surprised his bride-to-be with the mingling of their two families. On a gorgeous day in May, friends and family gathered to celebrate Stephanie and Amrish’s love for each other at The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. The happiness of the couple was greatly expressed through their idea of combining eastern and western cultures throughout their festivities. Incorporating the groom’s Indian culture, the rehearsal dinner included the celebration of Mehndi, in which the bride and other women in attendance were decorated with henna. During the wedding ceremony, the groom dressed in the traditional, lively Desi attire and majestically entered the service atop a noble white horse. In the light of western cultures, the stunning bride walked down the aisle in a Justin Alexander princess-cut, delicately laced ball gown, accented with a vibrant floral crown bestowed upon her head. Stephanie wore an astounding pair of diamond and pearl dangle earrings and a gold bangle given to her by the grandmother of the groom. The glowing bride gracefully carried a bouquet arrangement done by Birdie Blooms, bringing life and radiance into the wedding. Stephanie and Amrish exchanged heart-warming wedding vows surrounded by their closest friends and family. The couple cherished the amount of admiration their loved ones displayed for new family and ventured off to their honeymoon with immeasurable gratitude. The two then enjoyed a Royal Caribbean cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica, and now reside in Oklahoma City.
