"• We first met at Indiana University in Bloomington. One of Shawn’s good friends from high school, Andy, was Corey's pledge brother and roommate in his fraternity. Andy is now one of Corey's best men and played a major role in introducing us (as did Megan who is one of Shawn’s bridesmaids)...you could say it was a setup. (Megan and Andy were dating at the time, but they split up a while ago.) We met during Shawn’s senior year (Corey’s junior), hit it off right away and have been dating ever since! Shawn graduated before Corey and moved to Chicago where we did long distance for a year and a half. After Corey graduated, he moved to Chicago for a short time before moving to NYC for work. Corey finally moved back to Chicago after just 6 months in NYC and we've been living together since that day. He proposed in Chicago and completely threw Shawn off guard having told very few people....and knowing I'd do anything to figure it out. We love to cook meals together at home and enjoy a good bottle of red wine. We both grew up with 3 siblings and close knit families which is an important part of both of our lives today. Shawn was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and went to St. Ursula Academy. She has many family friends from Toledo that will be at the wedding that have known her since she was born. Corey was born in Massachusetts and moved many times in his life before going to IU. He lived in Erie PA, Cleveland OH, Cincinnati OH, and went to high school in New Canaan, CT. Corey’s family lives primarily in Boston now so for some of them, the wedding weekend will be their first time in Toledo. Same goes for most of his extended family and friends. Shawn’s older sister was married in January in Chicago."
