From The Bride:

It’s hard to believe that these newlyweds grew up just one mile from each other in Rochester Hills, MI. Throughout their grade school years they had many similarities. Both attended the same elementary, middle, and high school. They both loved music, sports, MSU and were even in the same friend circles. However, since Greg was two grades ahead of Seema they were not introduced for nearly twenty one years! They finally met for the first time in the summer of 2009 at a mutual friend’s house. Greg was home from East Lansing to see his childhood friend Dave and spend the weekend with his buddies. Seema was planning on stopping by for a few minutes just to see Dave before she headed out with some friends. Plans changed and Seema spent the whole night, sharing her love of music and Spartan sports with Greg Their relationship grew over the next few years and in 2012, Greg and Seema moved into an apartment with that very friend (Dave) who had introduced them to each other years prior.

East Lansing, MI is where their friendship evolved and grew into a relationship. It’s where they have some of their greatest and earliest memories of their 5 years as a couple, so naturally that is where Greg decided to make one of their most important memories together. Surprising Seema with a proposal at Beaumont Tower on MSU’s campus while her family and friends hid in the bushes to watch and capture the moment on film, all while a “random” student played their song on his guitar at a nearby bench. Seema said YES!! and after a few happy tears and photos the couple celebrated at a downtown East Lansing restaurant with friends and family into the night.

The wedding planning was simple…Dave (the very friend who introduced them) would marry them and everything would be green, white and awesome. The couples die hard love for Michigan State is anything but ordinary but wedding planners Jen and Kendall were able to take Detroit’s industrial-glam backdrop mixed with MSUs color pallete and the brides love of rose gold and turn it into something magical. The execution was flawless and captured so well by Evis, Erin and the team. The couple chose to include both American and Indian cuisine and music to honor the brides Hindu culture which let the guests experience a little bit of everything throughout the night and made for a unique atmosphere. Eastern Market was filled with bright vibrant colors from all the guests dressed in traditional Indian attire, and a Pizza and Gelato food truck kept the party going well past the midnight hour.

Greg and Seema really had the best day ever..including a surprise visit from SPARTY (MSU’s mascot) himself!!!!
