When we first got met with Sam to discuss her upcoming wedding, she listed the fun details of their plans including their ceremony in a small town where she used to work, in front of the school house, including their adorable Boxer, Mogley, and zip lining into their wedding reception as a surprise for their guests! Needless to say, we were pretty pumped at how unique these two were and couldn't wait to capture their wedding. As we moved through their engagement, we learned that Sam and Alex love to adventure together. We learned that Alex is quiet and reserved while Sam is upbeat and goofy. But most importantly, we learned that these two are COMPLETELY at home with each other. When we arrived in Troy, Ontario, on the day of their wedding, Sam was relaxed and eager to just hang out with her loved ones. The morning was filled with tears, dancing, a lot of laughter, and tons and tons of hugs. The guys got ready at Sam & Alex's place in Cambridge, Ontario with Mogley and man, was it ever chill. The anticipation building towards the moment Sam and Alex continued to build as they arrived to The Old Troy School House and Alex greeted their guests as they arrived. You can see it, when Alex saw Sam for the first time, it was a beautiful moment where he just soaked it in and embraced the emotions that came along with it. They shared vows, passed their rings in a ring warming ceremony, and circled each other as a symbol of their commitment to each other. After sharing their first kiss, they hopped in their rental Jeep and popped over to Orchard Home Farm, a nearby apple orchard for family and wedding party photos. It was here that they exchanged gifts and read letters to each other in the rows of the apple trees. Not long later, we stopped at Starbucks for a quick drink (thanks for treating them, Starbucks team!) and arrived to Pine Valley Chalet at Chicopee Tube Park just in time for their grand entrance... by ZIP LINE! Sam wasn't too proud to throw on a pair of biking shorts under her dress and harness up, all for the adventure with her new HUSBAND. Needless to say, this was an unforgettable day full of love, heartfelt words, and celebration. Thank you, Sam & Alex, for having us document your incredible day. We're so grateful for you two.
