From The Bride:
Brandon and I met back in high school, even though we did not start dating until I graduated. Falling in love at 18 and 19 is not something you expect, but it happened to us. We have been inseparable ever since our first date. I always say that we are like a puzzle and each piece fits so perfectly with the next. Over the past 10 years we have learned, loved and lost. We have learned how to work together as we own a photo + cinema company in Florida. We have loved each other, every day, even through all of the growing pains people in their 20’s experience. Oh, and our precious rescue boy Enzo. We cannot forget about loving our dog Enzo, he is the light of our lives. We have also lost some extremely important people in our lives. Being so devastated by the losses it actually brought us closer and made us realize how short this thing called life really is and has reminded us to cherish every moment we can.
We chose the location of our wedding before we even finalized our venue! Downtown St. Petersburg is one of our favorite spots. From amazing restaurants to the beautiful views, it’s the only thing that made sense to us. The Conservatory in the Museum of Fine Arts stopped us in our tracks during our initial tour. Between the never-ending floor to ceiling windows that overlook the bay and the bare space with neutral colors we were sold. The space was just what we needed to pull together all of our wedding ideas. The date was set. 9.15.17. Two years from our engagement and such an important date as those are our three lucky numbers.
There are always bumps in the road, as to be expected with any large function, but our worst wedding nightmares came true right before we were about to celebrate the biggest day of our lives. Thirty days before our wedding, I had to purchase a new dress because the boutique I purchased mine from, over 8 months prior, closed the doors to their Tampa location. As if the stress of that was not enough, just 4 days before our wedding one of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded hit our beautiful state. We had to evacuate our home, half the state was without power, and the masses of debris Hurricane Irma left behind was expected to be around for months. The hard work that our friends, family and vendors went through in the following days is something that should be commended. From the last minute phone calls finalizing food, florals and details, to physical clean up of the park where our ceremony was to take place, to the morning of the wedding picking up the groomsman tuxedos, everyone came together for us. The whole event was so fast it felt like a dream but it was undeniably the best day of our lives. Experiencing your own wedding is so surreal and having this beautiful film to look back on is more than we could have dreamed. The Wedding Filmmakers captured our day so effortlessly, and created this wonderful heirloom for us to share for the rest of our lives. Brandon and I realize now more than ever that weddings are not about all of the details but about the support that gets you there, the love that gets you through and the memories you will take with you. Our wedding will always be the perfect reminder that after every storm comes a rainbow.
